Weapons Satan Hates: A Guide to winning spiritual battles
There are certain spiritual weapons satan hates because he knows they are a guide to our being victorious in his attacks against us.
To be clear, satan hates it any time we fight against his plans for our demise. But he loathes it when we implement these three spiritual weapons in the battle because he cannot stand against them.
You would think that the “big bad wolf” would be afraid of miraculous weapons like guns or knives.
If the battle were natural, this might be the case.
But, since we fight spiritual battles, we must also fight with spiritual tools.
All the weapons of mass destruction in the world will not deter satan from coming against you.
But take heart – you only need three simple ingredients for a successful fight!
The weapons satan hates are – Get ready for it – Praise, Worship, and Thanksgiving!

I know what you are thinking…
”Wait, this seems a little too simple!”
Right? Wrong!
Satan hates when we fight with these simple weapons because he knows how effective they are!
He has been around a long time, so he knows better than we do just how powerful praise, worship, and thanksgiving can be. Read the post on the contrast between Praise and Worship.
Don’t take my word for it; Notice how, when things are going haywire in your life, the last thing you want to do is praise or worship God! And forget about being thankful! How can you possibly give thanks in unfavorable circumstances? You, quite frankly, can barely muster the strength to get out of bed! Where does thankfulness fit into that dynamic?
The enemy knows this! So he piles on the trials until you are too discouraged to lift your hands in praise.
It's What Brings You Through
But praise, worship, and thanksgiving are the tools that will lift your mood in that moment. They are also the very things God will use to bring you out of whatever discouraging situation you are in.
If satan is bogging you down with discouragement and trying to keep you from having the energy to praise, worship, or be thankful, it is because he knows this is what will turn matters around.
Satan hates these spiritual weapons. He will do anything in his power (which he has none of without our giving it to him) to trick you into believing you have nothing to praise or worship about.
Or worse – that there is nothing good in your life that you should be thankful for. All of which is a crafty lie from the enemy, his feeble attempt to trick you into not using the readily available spiritual weapons you have on hand.
God Fights, You Praise
Ephesians 6 tells us that our weapons are not carnal but are mighty through God! If you can pray for the strength to praise God in your trials, he will fight the battle for you. You will not have time to be weary about your problem because your praise will bring you peace.
However, I want to warn you: Beware of people around you who are not spiritually minded. They will think you are crazy for praising in the middle of the problem you are facing. Do not sweat it. Just tell them: “Don’t mind me. I’m in a battle right now”, and keep praising your way out of that storm.
God told Moses and the Israelites in Exodus 14:14 that He would fight the battle for them. All they needed to do was be still. The same goes for you today – The Lord will fight for you. You only need to be still.
But do not mistake stillness as a passive action.
To be still in the spirit means you stand your ground in praise, worship, and thanksgiving no matter what the enemy tries to throw your way.
Remind yourself: God will personally fight this one for you – like an older sibling coming after the bully on the playground. All you need to do is be still in your stance.
